As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause uncertainty to Uganda's food security among underprivileged households. The Response Team at STACU inaugurated a relief food distribution campaign, ensuing from the countrywide COVID- 19 lockdown to counter the rising food insecurities in many Ibanda villages and rural poor households.
Most familes were lucky to have one meal a day and though our Covid relief emergency food distribution, over 1,150 families have been reached out. The families received among other items maize flour commonly known as "posho" , processed milk for breast feeding months, sugar, rice, salt, bars of soap, surgical gloves, gears and protective face masks. STACU remains committed to continuously ensure that the poor's welfare are preserved. This is why we have stayed in touch with our community beneficiaries through our programs even in these tough times of the Covid19 pandemic.
